The servers of the popular CrunchBang Linux operating system have been hit by a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack and have been down for almost five days.
CrunchBang users may have noticed that the logs, as well as other services, are slow to work.
A CrunchBang admin said: "I'm sorry to report that the repo and torrent server are experiencing a DDoS attack. As with the previous attack, I don't have much information to share, but we'll keep you updated on what's happening."
Users will likely not be able to make any updates to their own systems and no one knows how long it will take.
This attack will not affect the individual distribution, it will simply hinder the update process.
