GitHub suffered a large-scale DDOS attack – 10/02/2013

GitHub with the last reported attack being in late August. That was until October 2, when the site was hit again.

The first problems were reported at 19:54 UTC. A few minutes later, GitHub 's status update page showed that the site was hit by a "large-scale DDOS attack."

His experience in dealing with such attacks has brought results for GitHub, as he managed to restore services within ten minutes.

"The website remains available as we continue to deal with a large and growing DDoS attack. There may be some isolated issues as we take the necessary remediation actions," the message posted at 20:23 UTC said.

Currently, GitHub appears to be working normally.
