The official website of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has stopped working. However, this outage is not due to a hacking, but to the exhaustion of the initial budget.
The message posted on the department’s website reads: “Due to the interruption of federal funding, this website is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience. Once funding is restored, the website will be operational again.”
The problem, according to US President Barack Obama, is due to a group of Republicans in the House, who left the government without funding, in an attempt to prevent Obamacare reform, which concerns the healthcare sector.
It is uncertain how long this crisis will last. However, the president says the new reform will go into effect on October 1, as originally planned.
