The Pocket Casts app , both on mobile and desktop, has added a new playlist feature to help you organize your favorite podcasts.

You can manually create your own playlists, while the “Smart Playlists” option automatically applies the rules you set to organize episodes. The new feature is available in version 8 for iPhone and version 6 for Mac.
Create and customize playlists manually, choosing the order of episodes, saving them for later, or creating collections around trips, themes, or favorite guests.
Smart Playlists automatically collect episodes from the podcasts you follow, based on rules you set. For example, you can create aQuick Listenplaylist that collects episodes of your favorite shows that are under 25 minutes long.

Playlists aren't limited to the podcasts you follow. When creating a manual playlist, you can add individual episodes from additional shows.
- From the main screen, open the "Playlists" tab.
- Tap "+" on mobile or click "New Playlist" on the web version.
- Give it a name and click "Create Playlist".
Once you've created and named your playlist, the " Convert to Smart Playlist " option will appear below the name . By selecting it, you'll be able to define the rules you want to apply to your playlist.
