Apple has provided tips for achieving the best fit with the new tips, using both subjective and objective testing. Even if you're a seasoned AirPods Pro user, you may need to adopt a different tip size this time around. Users tend to need a smaller size than usual this year.
The AirPods Pro 3 also come with five tips in the box, an increase from four in the AirPods Pro 2 and three in the original AirPods Pro. The new option is the XXS, adding to the existing XS, S, M , and L.The medium size remains the default. Users tend to choose the smaller size with the AirPods Pro 3 compared to previous generations. If you wear the medium size tips with the AirPods Pro 2, be sure to try the small size with the AirPods Pro 3.

The medium-sized tips are attached as standard, and Apple recommends trying those first.
Insert the AirPods with the medium-sized tips into your ears so that they are comfortable and secure. If you can't get a good seal, try adjusting the AirPod or switching to a larger ear tip. If the tip feels too large or uncomfortable, try a smaller one.
Once you find the size that feels most comfortable and secure, you can ask your iPhone to perform a seal test using the new AirPods Seal Test . This replaces the Eartip Fit Test used for previous models.

If the test suggests adjusting or trying a different tip, adjust your AirPods Pro and try again. You may need different sizes for your left and right ears.
