While the company's contract plans didn't see many immediate changes in the last half of 2024, Verizon raised prices for customers , increased management fees, and made other changes that essentially allowed it to raise prices without having to advertise it as openly. It looks like that trend will continue in 2025, as a new rumor claims that Verizon is looking for accounts with five or more lines.
According to a purported Verizon supervisor commenting via Reddit, Verizon myPlan prices will increase for those with five or more lines, reducing the multi-line discount to the same amount as they would have with a four-line plan. This effectively increases each line by $3, which means at least $15 more per month overall for those with larger family plans. If the report proves accurate, the change will take effect on February 20th.

As pricing continues to rise on the postpaid side, the good news is that there are some solid alternatives that run on Verizon's network that will cost you less. Visible is actually owned by Verizon, but it's one of the better providers overall.

Total Wireless is also owned by Verizon and is a decent option, though there have been some recent issues with Disney Plus billing and other issues that may be a bummer. Finally, for those who want another option that isn't owned by the carrier itself, US Mobile runs on Verizon, AT&T , or T-Mobile 's network and provides excellent value.
