Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is expected to cause a “global distraction phenomenon” upon its release, as millions of people take time off from work and school to play. But what about the enhanced PC version?

Information about GTA 6 on “next-gen consoles” and PC comes from the LinkedIn profile of a Lead Engine Developer at Rockstar, who has been working there since 2020, with GTA 6 being his exclusive project for the last 4 years.

The developer revealed details about working with RAGE, Rockstar's engine used to create the next-gen world of GTA 6. The post states that the developer has been working on ray tracing, ray-traced global illumination, and procedural generation for game objects and environments.
In his LinkedIn, the GTA 6 developer explains: “I oversee the design, development, and optimization of the core engine of Rockstar's in-house RAGE engine.

This includes performance, physics, AI , and memory management, ensuring the engine can support open-world environments and simulations. I work with technical leads, producers, and directors to define the technical vision and engine system architecture for current and future titles.”

The post continues: “I lead performance profiling and optimization efforts, pushing the boundaries of real-time performance and processing to maintain smooth performance across multiple platforms, including next-gen consoles and PC.
