Apple has n't had a particularly good year: from failed software updates to the fact that profits only increased due to more efficient production and not demand.
Then there's the matter of the Apple Vision Pro, which may soon be discontinued. Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman reveals that iOS 19 will be released in stages, just like iOS 18.

iOS 18, built on promises of Apple Intelligence, is being released in phases because the announced features weren't ready in time. First, we learned that Apple's AI was lacking compared to Gemini, as Gurman reported. According to him, Apple still has a long way to go to catch up.
We saw this confirmed when Apple said its AI features would be released in phases. The iPhone 16 was so problematic that Apple shares plunged upon its announcement. Apple Intelligence was not available on the iPhone 16 at launch, nor in the EU or China at all.
For now, we'll only get very basic features in December, like ChatGPT and Genmoji integration, and we won't see any additional additions until next year. Worse, the Siri has been delayed until 2026, after the iPhone 17 launches.

Gurman says iOS 19 will roll out in the same gradual manner as iOS 18, with most major features arriving with iOS 19.4. This strategy is consistent with Apple's recent plans to reduce annual releases, but it does reduce the appeal of new iPhone models on launch day.
We support moving away from annual releases, but in a way that benefits consumers. Release your phone when it's complete, rather than presenting it as an unfinished product with promises of future updates.

This strategy didn't work in the video game industry, and I hope consumers will put an end to this practice here as well.
