Following the introduction of Samsung 's latest foldable devices this year, Gemini now offers a new shortcut that makes it easy to quickly enter multiple split - screen tasks on Android devices with large screens, such as tablets .

Gemini overlay adds a centered control bar to the top edge, allowing you to drag the chatbot side-by-side (left, right, up, or down) with whatever app you're using.

This can be useful if you're reading or watching something and want Gemini to be immediately accessible.
It has also recently received several useful updates to meet the growing demand for genetic artificial intelligence (AI).
Gemini extensions are available in most Google apps, offering easy access and interaction with the chatbot. Additionally, Google is working on several new features for the chatbotthat will be released in the future, including the extremely useful ability to answer calls from the lock screen (a feature that is still in development).

We're currently looking at the new split-screen feature on the Pixel Tablet and Fold, which was previously only available when using Gemini on Samsung devices. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear on the Android phones we tested today.
