Finding your way around Starfield can be a complex task, especially given the nature of the game's remote space cities, but that could all change soon. The next patch for the game, which is currently active and in trial version (beta) on Steam, will introduce entirely new surface maps, in the hope that you'll never get lost again.

There are some issues that may seem small in a game but in practice can turn into huge-scale problems. Getting lost in Starfield due to problems with the game's maps is one such problem, with a redesign therefore being one of the most anticipated and requested changes by fans of the space RPG. Now, that update is almost here, with updated surface maps coming to the game in the next patch.

Young and informed indicators, along with more detailed maps, are coming into play and appear to be a significant step forward from what was previously available in Starfield. Η Bethesda Game Studios refer to it as the "more information than the traffic", with changes not only to how you find your way around the game, but new gameplay options implemented as well.

These allow you to set up the game the way you like it, such as changing the difficulty settings of Starfield or increase the amount of coins that you can carry or how many coins the dealers will have at their disposal so that they can buy your huge stocks of Loot. There is also a new difficulty setting Extreme which promises to be a real test of your skills.

That's not all, as there will be some new ones tools for the adaptation of spacecraft interiors which will mean finally getting your own design and your own character and theme, away from the default designs. With a system similar to that used in outdoor centres, it seems that the home away from home will finally be yours and not just a shared house that follows someone else's pre-determined design. In addition, there will soon be several improvements in quality of life and the redirectability once you enter unity, as well as several other updates, changes and bug fixes.

This announcement of the next update also comes alongside the May update video for the game, which warns of some important things. The first of these is the rover-type planetary exploration vehicles, which will mean that we can easily move on inter-planetary adventures. In addition, the studio confirms that the new creation kit is currently being tested and has been sent for testing and feedback to a few modders, with more news to follow soon.
