Nissan: Reduces the price of the electric SUV Ariya 2024

Nissan is reducing the price of its world's first electric SUV, the 2024 Nissan Ariya, with its price starting at $39,995 (~€36,877).

Sales of Nissan's first all-electric SUV are growing in the U.S. Nissan sold 3,765 Ariya models in the fourth quarter, bringing its total sales to 13,464 in 2023.

Although production of the Ariya began with some difficulties, Nissan's new Intelligent Plant, where the Ariya is manufactured, is now operating smoothly.

Nissan says that new production methods and the use of more advanced technology are leading to a 10% cost reduction at the new plant compared to previous processes.

Nissan is currently trying to shift its savings to make its electric SUV more competitive. On Monday, Nissan announced that it is reducing the starting price of its 2024 Ariya electric SUV to $39,590 (~€36,500).

Nissan has slashed prices on the Ariya by up to $6,000. The base model, the Ariya Engage, has been reduced by $3,600.

Below is a list of updated prices for the 2024 Nissan Ariya.

Trisha Jung, senior director of EV strategy and transformation at Nissan USA, explained: “As the electric vehicle continues to evolve and expand, the updated pricing for the 2024 Ariya will enhance the model’s competitiveness and ensure we deliver maximum value to our customers.”

Nissan is offering the Ariya in two different battery sizes (63 kWh or 87 kWh) and a choice of FWD or dual-motor e4ORCE AWD. The 2024 model can cover up to 304 miles according to EPA standards.

After Ford launched access last week, Nissan announced that a NACS adapter will be available for the Ariya by the end of the year.

Ford also cut prices on the Mustang Mach-E last month, while introducing new features to the F-150 Lightning electric pickup.
