
JBL is introducing updates to its popular Bluetooth speaker lineup at CES 2024. The JBL Xtreme 4, JBL Clip 5, and JBL Go 4 are expected to launch in June, while the larger PartyBox Club 120 and PartyBox Stage 320 models will be available in April.

I wouldn't necessarily call these major upgrades, but JBL says all of the new models have improved sound and upgraded Bluetooth, along with a few new features and design tweaks. JBL's Bluetooth speakers are also made from recycled fabric and plastic, and some now have replaceable batteries.

JBL Xtreme 4 ($380, June)

JBL states that the Xtreme 4 is “now enhanced with AI Sound Boost technology , which analyzes audio in real time with an AI algorithm to optimize the acoustic output level, delivering more powerful and crystal-clear sound.” The speaker also includes a replaceable battery and is equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 with LE audio capabilities .
The Xtreme 4 is waterproof and dustproof to IP67, features a USB-out for charging devices and connectivity between multiple speakers via the JBL Portable and Auracast. Battery life is expected to be 24 hours at moderate volume levels. It will be available in three colors.

JBL Clip 5 ($80, June)

The JBL Clip 5 has a redesigned clip with a “larger and more accessible opening, making it easier to carry around.” JBL also says it has increased driver power that allows for “more fluid sound and solid bass at any volume.”
Battery life is expected to be 12 hours at moderate volume levels, and the speaker is equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 with LE audio. It is waterproof and dustproof according to the IP67 and is supported by the JBL Portable and connectivity between multiple speakers via Auracast. It will be available in six colors.

JBL Go 4 ($50, June)

JBL says it has improved the sound of its smallest speaker, the Go 4, which has “more powerful sound and more explosive bass than its predecessor.” It also features an “updated silhouette” and a wider, more durable carrying strap.
The Go 4 has an expected 7 hours of playback time at moderate volume levels, is waterproof and dustproof to IP67 , and features Bluetooth 5.3 with LE audio capabilities . It also has multi-speaker connectivity via the JBL Portable app and Auracast . It will be available in six colors .

JBL PartyBox Club 120 ($400, April)

JBL says the successor to the PartyBox 110 features “powerful sound and deeper bass, along with a symmetrical and spectacular light show that guarantees a stunning visual experience, with sparkling lights, cool light trails and photorhythmic effects synchronized to your music.” It can be connected to an unlimited number of other JBL PartyBoxes (or paired with another PartyBox Club 120 to create stereo sound) and can be connected to other JBL portable speakers that support Auracast.
Battery life is rated at 12 hours at moderate volume levels, and the speaker features a replaceable battery that's easy to replace (you can purchase additional batteries to extend playtime). It's compatible with the JBL PartyBox app and features two microphone inputs and a guitar input. The PartyBox Club 120 is splash-proof and IPX4.

JBL PartyBox Stage 320 ($600, April)

JBL says the successor to the PartyBox 310 features upgraded speakers, with two “ high-sensitivity woofers and dual tweeters ” that help improve clarity at high volume levels (it’s rated at 240W ). Equipped with a telescopic handle and wide, durable wheels , the PartyBox Stage 320 can be connected to an unlimited number of other JBL PartyBoxes or paired with another PartyBox Stage 320 for stereo sound , and can also be connected to other JBL portable speakers that support Auracast technology .
Battery life is rated at 18 hours at moderate volume levels, and the speaker has a replaceable battery that's easy to replace (you can purchase additional batteries to extend playtime). The speaker is compatible with the JBL PartyBox.
