Among the additions are a pinned messages feature and a redesigned chat attachment menu. As of now, these features are available to a limited group of beta testers, with a gradual rollout to the wider public expected in the coming weeks.
The pinned messages feature is designed to allow users to highlight specific messages by pinning them to the top of their conversations. This feature aims to facilitate easier access to important or frequently referenced messages. While this feature was previously rumored during its development phase, it is now undergoing beta testing.
To use the pinned messages feature, simply long-press on a message in the conversation and select the 'Pin' option from the menu that appears. The message will be pinned to the top of the conversation and will remain there even if there are new messages. You can pin more than one message in a conversation. To unpin a message, long-press on it and select the 'Unpin' option from the menu. The message will return to its original position in the conversation. You can also rearrange pinned messages at the top of the conversation by long-pressing on a pinned message and dragging it to a new position.

Users have control over how long pinned messages are visible, with options for 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days. Additionally, users can dismiss a pinned message at any time, even before the selected duration expires. It's worth noting that pinned messages apply not only to group conversations but also to individual conversations, providing a means to flag specific content in private conversations.
In addition to the feature , beta testers may notice a redesigned chat menu. This updated menu maintains the process of sharing different types of content while presenting a clearer and more intuitive interface with the latest improvements.
