MusicGen is an open-source deep-learning language model from Meta's Audiocraft research group that can generate songs via text (instructions). The tool allows users to create a song by describing the style and tone they want.

MusicGen is now live on Hugging Face AI ’s Facebook. First, you need to describe the type of music you want. For example, you can say “A happy country song with guitars.” Then, you can set the music to a given tune. When you’re done with the instructions, click the “Generate” button and wait a few minutes for the result.

Meta's MusicGen is the second AI tool for music composition after MusicLM , which was released last month.
