Instagram is a platform where you can freely post content for everyone to see, but the company may be adding some degree of exclusivity in the near future. According to BGR, Instagram may finally let you hide posts from everyone but your close friends.

When you post, people who follow you and some who don't can see it - that's the whole point of social media. However, there are some posts that you only want a select group of people to see. Twitter already has something like this called "Twitter Circles," where tweets are shared only with a specific group of followers.

Instagram may allow you to share posts only with your close friends.
According to the report, Twitter user Alessandro Poliuzi managed to hack into the app and enable a previously unseen feature. In the screenshot posted to Twitter, we can see a new Audience button in the new post settings. Next to it, we see the label “Close Friends.” This suggests that users will be able to configure the app so that their posts are sent only to those accounts that have been marked as “close friends.”
We don't know how far along this development is, so we don't know if the functionality. We also don't even know if Instagram will launch this feature. If so, then it could be a way to add a little exclusivity to Instagram.
However, it may not be the right feature for those who want to keep certain posts for their closest friends only. It seems that when you flip the switch, all your new posts will only be visible to your close friends.
It would be nice if the company allowed you to designate certain posts as only for your close friends as you upload them. You can do the same thing with stories. Either way, it would be an interesting feature.
