Tesla Model S Plaid: New package with a top speed of 200 MPH

Elon Musk 's Tesla is getting ready to tear up the track with a new package for the Model S Plaid. The standout feature of the package is that it pushes the car to 200 MPH, which is certainly a feat for mass-produced electric vehicles.

In 2020, Tesla first announced that the model could reach 200 mph, but the automaker wanted to develop faster brakes before releasing the performance package. The new package is priced at $20,000, which includes the carbon ceramic brake set and the wheel and tire package. The new aluminum wheels, which Tesla calls “Zero-G,” are covered with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires measuring 285/35R20 in the front and 305/30R20 in the rear. The new brakes are also compatible with the 21-inch “Arachnid” wheels, but not the 19-inch “Tempest” wheels.

The brake kit package can be purchased separately for $15,000 USD and the wheel and tire package for $6,000. However, the ceramic brake kit is required to unlock the 200 mph top speed.
