Instagram: new post scheduling tool for business accounts

Finally, after months of waiting, Instagram has announced that the new in-app scheduling tool will be available to all business accounts on the app. The long-awaited tool allows businesses and creators to schedule their posts without having to use costly third-party apps or Creator Studio. Social media managers and creators have spent countless hours relying on these third-party tools to get their content out there, but this new scheduling feature will save them a lot of time and energy. The official release comes a few weeks after the social network began testing the scheduling tool with select users.

The new tool will allow businesses and creators to schedule posts, reels and carousels up to 75 days in advance.

After creating a post, click "Advanced settings" to access the programming tool. A new toggle will appear that says "Schedule this post". By selecting this option you can select when exactly would you like the post on Instagram - date and time. Go back to "Instagram post stream" and finally click "schedule". The businesses that use this function can find all scheduled content in the "Scheduled Content" section, which is accessible via the "hamburger menu"; from here you can reprogram the posts, if Needed.

The new tool from Instagram is no surprise, since the app's researcher Alessandro Paluzzi noted the development of a programming feature in July.

There is no current information on if or when regular Instagram accounts will have access to the scheduling tool in-app.

Instagram recently released a new scheduling tool and launched "Achievements" in reels. Creators can unlock Achievements by taking specific actions when creating a reel, such as Cooperation with another creator, engaging with their community by making reels more interactive, creating more than one reel in a week or using trendy sound and effects.
