The Pixel 6a has quite a few interesting features and comes at a very good price of $449.

Let's take a closer look at the features of Google.

Design

The Pixel 6a shares the same design as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro and comes in three color options. On the back is a dual-camera system, a 12-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a flash. The cameras are located in a line (camera bar), which protrudes slightly, preventing the phone from fully resting on a surface.

On the front is a 6.1-inch 2,400 x 1,080 FHD+ OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. At the top of the display is an 8-megapixel selfie camera centered in the center. On the right, on the edge of the phone, are the volume rockers and the power button. At the bottom, there is a port USB-C , while on the left is the SIM card tray. It is worth noting that there is no headphone jack on the Pixel 6a , which was included on the Pixel 5a and was useful for many users .

The screen is covered with Gorilla Glass 3, which is probably not as durable as the Gorilla Glass Victus used on the 6 and 6 Pro. The phone's frame is also made of a different material than the 6 and 6 Pro, although they look quite similar.

Finally, the 6a has an IP67 rating for dust and water instead of the IP68 that the more expensive models have.

Performance, camera and battery life

Google's Pixel 6a is equipped with the Google Tensor, while it has 6 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage.

There's a battery 4,410 mAh that seems to be enough for a full day of use.

The fingerprint reader works without any problems.

As we mentioned above, the phone has a dual-camera system on the back. Google made big changes to the 6a when it comes to cameras, in an effort to keep costs down. Fortunately, though, the Pixel 6a's dual 12-megapixel cameras seem to do a good job.

As for the operating system, it runs Android 12.

The lack of wireless charging may be a significant drawback for some.

Either way, the Pixel 6a proves that phone doesn't need to have the best components to deliver the best experience. It's a far cry from the Pixel 6 Pro, both in specs and price, but it performs just as effectively.
