Samsung Electronics today announced that all models of The Terrace TV, its premium product line designed for the outdoor lifestyle, have become the first in the TV industry to be certified for outdoor performance.

This certification comes from US -based Underwriters Laboratories (UL) , a global independent scientific safety organization with over a century of experience in innovative safety solutions.
Under normal circumstances, consumers must find ways to block out sunlight to achieve proper visibility, which has been a major issue across all relevant product categories. To receive this certification, a product must undergo several rounds of rigorous testing. Samsung’s Terrace TV excels in these areas, so viewers can enjoy clear, vivid images even in bright outdoor environments.

It also features Samsung's premium QLED display, anti-reflection technology that reduces light reflection from its surface, as well as AI picture quality optimization technology for automatic brightness adjustment.
In addition to Samsung's OH551, an outdoor signage product that uses the same outdoor visibility technologies as The Terrace, also received visibility verification.
Samsung also recognizes the importance of weather against rain and dust for outdoor TV models. The company has received IP55 standard water and dust resistance certification from the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), which together with the latest UL verification will play a key role in strengthening Samsung’s efforts to provide an optimal viewing experience in various outdoor conditions.
