Sometimes we want to extract images from our PDF files. There are two different methods for Windows 10 and Mac.

An easy and free way to extract images from a PDF file is with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. With this application, you can not only open a PDF, but also extract its multimedia content. This way, you can save selected images from the PDF file to a folder on your computer.
If you haven't already, download and install the free Acrobat Reader DC app for Windows 10 or Mac. Then open the PDF with that app.
When Acrobat Reader opens, click the selection tool (an arrow icon) in the toolbar near the top of the window. You'll use this tool to select images in your PDF.
Then, navigate to the page of the PDF where the image you want to extract is located. Click on the image to select it.
Then, right-click on the image and select “Copy Image” from the menu.
The selected image is copied to your clipboard. You can now paste this image into any image editing program on your computer.
If you are a Windows user, open the Paint and press Ctrl + V to paste the image. Then click File > Save in the Paint menu bar to save the image.
On a Mac, open the Preview and choose File > New from Clipboard from the menu bar. Then click File > Save to save the image.

The saved image file works like any other image on your computer. You can add it to your documents, upload it to websites, and more.

Photoshop also offers a custom feature for importing the contents of a PDF file. With this, you can load the PDF and extract all the images from it.
To use this method, first open Photoshop on Windows 10 or Mac. In Photoshop, click File > Open in the menu bar and browse to open the PDF file from which you want to extract images.
Photoshop's “ Import PDF ” window will open . In this window, select the “ Images ” radio button at the top to see all the PDF images.
Photoshop will display all the images in your PDF files. Click the image you want to extract. To select multiple images, press and hold Shift and then click the images.
When you have selected the images, click “OK” at the bottom of the window.
Photoshop will open each image in a new tab. To save all of these images to a folder on your computer, choose File > Close All from the Photoshop menu bar.

Photoshop will ask if you want to save the changes to your images. In this message, enable the “Apply to All” option and then click “Save.”
Next is the standard Photoshop “Save As” window. Here, click on the “Save As” box and enter a name for your image. Then, click on the “Format” drop-down menu and select a format for your image. Finally, click on “Save” at the bottom of the window. This step should be followed for every image.
As for the image format, if you are not sure what to choose, choose “PNG“, as it works in most cases.
