The report also found that the most common techniques to cause significant cyber attacks included a Denial of Service Attack (DoS), which occurs when cybercriminals make a machine or network resource unavailable to its users by overwhelming it with requests until traffic is no longer possible. In addition to the SQL Injection Attack , which injects malicious SQL code into a database to access sensitive information, as well as a man-in-the-middle (MitM) attack, in which hackers intercept communication between two parties.
