Sony has moved forward with the manufacturing process of a portable air conditioner. The well-known company is taking steps to make hot periods cooler for users of its device.
The device, Reon Pocket, is a device that essentially functions as a portable air conditioner that can fit into a pocket of a special T-shirt.
The Reon Pocket will be placed at the base of the neck and will use the Peltier effect to cool you down . It will also be able to lower body temperature by 23F and raise it by 14F, all of which is completely silent.
The Peltier effect is a phenomenon in which heat is given off or absorbed when an electric current passes through a junction between two materials.
In the Reon Pocket, the temperature will be controlled via an app that will be on the user's phone. Of course, Sony, in a future device update, stated that it may incorporate an automatic mode feature.
The company's instructions are that the device will need to perform a full twenty-four-hour charge and then, when it needs charging, only two hours will suffice, using the USB-C port it has.
Sony is receiving funding for the Reon Pocket, which are already many and tend to cover its expenses.
Its release is expected in Japan in March of next year.
