Microsoft: Users will have full control over their online data

Microsoft is working on a research project that could offer its customers a privilege that no one else has given them before! Specifically, it is studying ways in which users have complete control over their online data.

Microsoft

According to reports, Microsoft has been testing this idea for some time and has even released a beta website. According to statements from company representatives, it is time that user privacy protection is very high on Microsoft's agenda, especially with what has happened in recent years, as shown for example by the Cambridge Analytica scandal for Facebook.

Some reporters also spotted Microsoft's new project in a tweet. Twitter user "Longhorn" said Wednesday that Microsoft Bali is a project that can delete all of a user's login and account information. But it's currently in private beta. ZDNet reporter Mary Jo Foley also spotted what the Bali website looks like. The site requires a password to log in, but visitors will also be able to request a password. PC magazine appears to have visited the site, but when Business Insider tried to do the same, the website failed to load. Foley reported that Bali is linked to a page described as a personal data "bank" that puts users in control of all the data collected about them. The "bank" will enable users to store all of their self-generated data. Essentially, it will allow users to manage, control, and share their data .

If Microsoft manages to make it happen in the coming years, it will certainly be one of the most useful innovations in the field of technology.
