Samsung has introduced a new remote access, which will allow users to connect their devices to their Smart TVs without using a cable.
The new remote access feature will be released on upcoming Samsung Smart TVs, allowing users to view content on a wider screen, via other devices, such as computers, tablets and smartphones.
The “Remote Access” feature will eliminate the need for a separate HDMI cable to display content on the TV screen via other devices from any room.
The new feature, in addition to connecting computers, tablets and smartphones to Smart TVs, will also be able to connect keyboards and mice, which will allow easy control of content from the TV screen.
In addition, the browser-based web cloud office service can also be used through the new feature. It will allow users to access and edit documents and files on their screen.
Hyogun Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said: “Samsung is committed to creating an intuitive and convenient experience for consumers. With Remote Access, consumers will be able to easily access various programs, apps and cloud services installed on multiple connected devices directly through their TV.”
Samsung is partnering with VMware Horizon, a company that offers desktop and application virtualization products.
Additionally, to ensure that user security remains intact, Samsung has integrated its proprietary Knox security technology into its remote access feature.
