Fortnite servers are down due to a major database crash!

The servers of the recently very successful video game Fortnite were down for 8 hours due to some emergency maintenance. Usually, in most cases, developers take the servers down to run some important new update or complete a maintenance.

In this case, things are a little different. The developers were surprised when they saw that the server maintenance lasted for 8 hours. Fortnite is undoubtedly one of the most popular games, so an error has an impact on several million users who were disappointed with the development of things.

When we're talking about such a successful game, such a long delay is particularly surprising. Epic Games made some statements regarding the cause of the problems.

"Currently, connectivity is blocked across all Epic endpoints, including games, websites, and the Epic Games Launcher. This is due to a database failure that we are working to resolve as quickly as possible," an Epic Games spokesperson said.

Although the developers subsequently made the required repairs, the servers could not handle the traffic and crashed again.

"We will proceed with an emergency interruption of the provided services, in order to proceed with updates to database , in order to permanently solve the problem," emphasized a representative of Epic Games. This news is certainly not pleasant for gamers, but we can do nothing but wait. Note that no backups have been created on the servers, so we do not know in what state you will find your accounts after the security update.
