The Nokia 3310 was re-released in an attempt to benefit from the popularity of the original model, but in a world full of affordable smartphones, it is difficult to survive without a truly attractive feature package.
Since the new 3310 doesn't impress in terms of design and features, the designers have created a more exquisite version of the phone that could be a real competitor to the Galaxy S9 and iPhone X.
The idea envisions a fully refreshed Nokia 3310, which is a smartphone that lacks all the unnecessary features we would encounter in a middle-end device.
The high-end look is achieved by a combination of an aluminum frame and a ceramic back, which is said to give a luxurious feel and make the phone more compact. Obviously, using ceramic for the entire phone could significantly increase the price, resulting in glass being a much better option.
The dual-camera on the back is the most impressive feature of the new device. The 6.2-inch curved display with an 18:9 aspect ratio is a feature we've seen on Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy S9+.
The designers claim that the new device will be equipped with the best hardware, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor which also powers the Galaxy S9.
So far, this model is just a concept, although there is a good chance that the Nokia 3310 will evolve into a high-end product. Besides, the truth is that Nokia could really benefit from such a makeover.
