Zotac Zbox MA551: New mini-pc with Ryzen and Raven Ridge chips

ZOTAC has unveiled a small PC at CES2018 based on AMD's Ryzen processor and integrated Vega graphics. The ZOTAC ZBOX MA551 will be one of the first compact PCs to feature the Raven Ridge chipset, and the system design will allow for support for all AM4 socket APUs.Zotac

ZOTAC's ZBOX MA551 will be available in at least two variants equipped with AMD's quad-core Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G APUs and integrated Radeon Vega graphics. The processors are designed to have a maximum power of 65 Watts (based on AMD's TDP data), and ZOTAC equips them with a cooling system consisting of a large copper heatsink and a fan. So far, AMD has only announced two SoCs with the Raven Ridge chipset for desktop computers, but even if the company develops APUs with higher power and cooling requirements, the MA551 will be ready to accommodate them.

Its internal architecture is very simple, allowing the user to easily install the main components as well as upgrade them. It accepts DDR4-2400 memory up to 32 GB in 2 SO-DIMM slots, an M.2-2280 PCIe / SATA SSD and another 2.5-inch drive.

The connections it contains are sufficient, the ZBOX MA551 has WI-FI 802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.2, a gigabit Ethernet connector, four USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, three display outputs (one DisplayPort 1.2, two HDMI 2.0) and a card reader for SD / microSD cards.Zotac

ZOTAC plans to start selling the ZBOX MA551 after April. Its price is still unknown.
