As has been reported in the past, Apple is facing some production issues with the upcoming iPhone X, which could delay its release.
The truth is that most modern products face the same difficulties these days. When you decide to introduce something new, it means that there are not enough factories to produce the required quantity. Especially when it comes to software, you can't rely on other people's solutions.
This is exactly the case with the iPhone X, which brings new features to its users. The two possible scenarios causing the delay are either the new OLED display or the facial recognition system.
The upcoming iPhone's display is being manufactured by Samsung. While it's new to Apple, it's been used by Samsung for several years. The problem is that the manufacturer can't produce the required number of stocks that Apple demands, while the technology itself is prone to many errors.
As if that weren't enough, a recent Wall Street Journal report suggests that Apple may have made a mistake with its facial recognition technology. Essentially, it's a dual system, with the Romeo unit responsible for recording the face and the Juliet unit responsible for interpreting the data.
It has been revealed that Apple is having issues with the Romeo unit and it is now very difficult to rebuild it. This leads us to the conclusion that the company will delay the long-awaited release, which of course would not be in their best interest.
The most likely scenario is that only a limited number of devices will be released in November, while the rest will come later depending on the required manufacturing time.
The risk is great for the company, as if its consumers are not happy this time, they will very likely stop preferring it.
