The Manjaro Linux operating system was updated today to version 2016-10-31. The update has not yet been officially announced.
For those who don't know the operating system, the Manjaro distribution is based on Arch Linux and its goal is to make things easier for novice Linux users.
Installing Manjaro is simple and can be done with two different applications with a graphical interface and traditionally through the terminal.
Overall, Manjaro Linux is worth your attention and holds a lot of promise for the future. The myth we found while working with the distribution is that it is not exactly a distribution for beginners but rather for Arch platform enthusiasts who don't have time.
Manjaro Linux automates a lot of processes that in Arch you would have to do manually.
Today the distribution was updated adding new features and improvements to existing ones. The kernel as you can see in the image below was upgraded to version 4.8.5-2 from 4.8.4-1 and with it almost most libraries (bluez libs, lib32 etc.) and its applications (such as libreoffice) were upgraded along with some graphics (numix).
So those of you using the distribution simply run Software Update or run the following command from your terminal:
sudo pacman -Syyu
