Whether it's Snapchat or iMessage, doodling is one of the most creative ways to enhance the photos you share on messaging apps. But no matter how big our phone screens get, drawing with our fingers can be clumsy even for a simple sketch like a smiley face.
Adonit thinks it has the solution, with its new Bluetooth stylus built around Snapchat and other messaging apps.
Called the “Snap,” the $34.99 stylus has a 1.9mm tip, which Adonit says is one of the smallest available right now. While the tip size is the same as many of the company’s other styluses, it’s an important feature that makes it the perfect stylus for Snapchat and other apps. Generally, the smaller the tip of the stylus, the more detailed your images can be, especially on smartphones with smaller screens.
The stylus itself is magnetic, so you can easily clip it to the back of your phone when you're not using it, and it charges via USB (no information on battery life yet.)
In addition to the design, the Snap is Bluetooth-, so it will also work as a shutter remote for your phone's camera. While it can't completely replace your selfie stick, it could help you take better selfies. (Unlike some of Adonit's other stylus offerings, the Bluetooth functionality doesn't extend to specific sketching apps.)
The Snap goes on sale from Tuesday, October 11th and is available in three colors: white, black and – of course – rose gold.
