Alex Gajewski announced the release of Apricity OS 07.2016. It is the first stable build of the Arch Linux-based distribution.
The project offers a choice of GNOME and Cinnamon desktops:
“The Apricity OS team is incredibly pleased to announce the release of Apricity OS 07.2016 “Aspen”, the first stable version of Apricity OS.
Apricity OS 07.2016 Dev, another monthly development snapshot, has also been released. The latest release brings a number of changes, the most notable of which is definitely Apricity Freezedry, a system configuration tool that has been integrated into the Apricity OS development build system.
With a simple TOML configuration file, many aspects of the system can be configured, including GNOME and Cinnamon themes, settings, installed packages, systemd services, and installed Vim plugins. Freezedry has been developed to contain modules, each responsible for controlling a specific aspect of the user's system.
Other changes to the operating system include support for LUKS encryption, a more stable installer, improved touchpad support, and more!”
