ASUS has unveiled its next smartphone, packed with top-end features: the ZenFone 3 Deluxe.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the world's first device to feature the Snapdragon 821 processor, which is the successor to the powerful 820 that powers phones like the Samsung Galaxy S7, Xiaomi Mi 5, and HTC 10.
The new chip in the ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe promises a 10 percent performance boost over its predecessor and a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz for its quad-core processor.
The upcoming device also features an Adreno 530 GPU, up to 6GB of DDR4 RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. The above features will be available on the top model, but there will be two other variants that will feature a Snapdragon 820 chip with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, or 4GB of RAM with 32GB.
All of the above comes in a metal frame with a 5.7 1080p display that will be protected by Gorilla Glass 4. There's a 23-megapixel camera on the back with optical image stabilization.
The device has a fingerprint reader and a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Charging times? It reaches 60 percent in just 39 minutes.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe starts at $500 for the 4GB model and goes up to $780 for the Snapdragon 821 model. The series will first be released in Taiwan and Hong Kong in August, but we'll have to wait until later in the year for the top-end variant.
There is no information yet on when we will see the device in Europe.
