Tails ,a live operating system that aims to protect your privacy by helping you browse the Internet anonymously, has been upgraded to version 2.0 (still in Beta).
The project developers state:
“Version 2.0 is a major milestone in the maturity of a free software project. The first public release of Tails was on June 23, 2009, and was called Amnesia. That was almost six years ago.”
New features
Tails 2.0 adopts more of the modern GNU/Linux technologies, as Linux namespaces, which essentially “armor” all system services, thus providing users with a safer and more pleasant experience.
The new release will also feature a more precise way to inform users that the Tor network is ready.
