A woman from Perth, Australia, named Chantelle, placed a bet on Prince Of Penzance in the Melbourne Cup horse race yesterday and won the bet at odds of 1 in 100. The final amount her ticket was worth was $825.

Out of joy over her unexpected winnings, she shared a selfie with her lucky ticket with two of her friends on Facebook. What she didn't think about was that the photo, which was now traveling wildly across the internet, contained the ticket's barcode.

This is exactly what someone, currently unknown, did when he saw the photo and made a copy of the ticket, claiming and seizing its winnings from the horse racing organization.

According to Triple M, the police believe they will be able to track down the ruthless (but clever) thief.
