Samsung's Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices will soon be updated to Google's Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The information comes from French website Planet Galaxy, which reports that the new operating system has started arriving on Galaxy S6 devices in France and will likely roll out across Europe in the coming days.
After installing Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, your device will change as it adds new features. On your device, you will notice some changes.
For example, notifications are no longer in Quick Connect, as are the S Finder buttons, which gives a cleaner surface.
Users will also be able to organize apps in the app drawer alphabetically. Additionally, as expected, the new software will bring support for RAW photos and lower ISO values to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. These features simply cannot be accessed through the camera app…
To be able to use these new features, you will need to download a third-party camera app (there are several on the Google Play Store) that has support for the Lollipop Camera2 API.
The new version will arrive via Kies, but we will probably also see the (OTA) update, that is, over-the-air. If you want to check for the update availability manually, you can follow the path:
