Apple unveiled its upcoming mobile operating system iOS 9 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices yesterday during its WWDC 2015 developer event
During the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2015, the company also announced that iOS 9 is available for download only for developers for now in Beta form.
However, with this short post we will mention which devices the new operating system is compatible with. It is known that with every major iOS update some older devices are not supported.
It is a company technique that forces end users to constantly upgrade their devices.
The good news is that Apple has managed to keep the iOS 9 compatibility list on par with that of the older iOS 8 operating system.
So you will be able to install iOS 9 on iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, and iPhone 4S.
iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad Mini 3, iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini, and iPod touch 5th generation devices will also be supported.
