Although last year, Apple had a series of promotional campaigns, this year it did not promote any of its products as Valentine's Day gifts.
Over the past decade, every February 14th, Apple has always decorated its online store with romantic-themed products.
This year, Apple is no longer promoting its devices as gifts, and simply mentions the “new” advertising campaign on the welcome screen of its online website.

Apple.com is obviously doing this to maintain the start something new and perhaps believes it is much more important than some similar romantic campaign.

One reason for this could be Apple's upcoming smartwatch. Apple may believe that this will keep visitors excited about its wearable product.
Another reason may be that this particular campaign was recently created and it doesn't make sense to take it down immediately, even for a day.
It's also worth noting that Apple has never used Valentine's Day to offer discounts or any other kind of special offers.
