Facebook was down worldwide today, 19/06/2014, at least since 11:00 Greek time. The message states that something "went wrong," the reasons for the outage are unknown .
The company's servers are not responding at this moment and users wonder if they are the only ones experiencing problems or if the connection issue is widespread.
The problems do not seem to be limited to a single area, or only to Greece, and appear to be rather global, with people from the United States, Europe, and Asia, and they are protesting about the issue.
The extremely popular platform had shown some minor issues in recent days, with users reporting slow loading times.
It is not the first time that the service is unavailable, but the problems were usually limited to small geographic areas, a fact that shows that today the problem the company is facing is more serious than usual.
Let's hope that it is not a continuous attack and that users' data are not at risk. The company has not yet made an official related statement on any of its channels.
