Setting up the company didn’t have any particular obstacles, but the biggest challenge was finding investors. Another difficulty faced by the founder of Daily Secret was the path towards extroversion and new markets. More specifically, he wanted to see if the Daily Secret model worked with the same enthusiasm in other cities. He started with Istanbul as a second stopover city, and found that people everywhere in the world have the same needs – to live their everyday lives as excitingly as possible.

Currently, the company has grown with offices in New York and many other cities, in addition to Athens. Daily Secret's goal is to be present in as many cities around the world as possible, with the immediate future expanding to markets in Africa and Asia.

Mr. Nikos Kakavoulis, founder of Daily Secret said: “Daily Secret tells the story of a new world. A world that is not made up of 2-3 metropolises, but of many, growing and exciting cities – and of people who feel proud to live in them. The crisis is a unique opportunity for investments in Greece. There are many remarkable ideas from young people that deserve the support of investors.”.

Those looking for their next step in their professional future and have an innovative idea that they do not know how to implement, will need guidance from a startup accelerator, presenting their work and taking part in competitions so that they have opportunities to stand out, but also to learn in detail what opportunities they can pursue. The European Union is always present with funding programs (https://ec.europa.eu/easme/sme_en.htm), while there are other international Funds that are willing to support their idea.

Below are a series of events and competitions that those who wish to implement a business idea and receive funding can participate in:

  • Innovathens, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub of the Municipality of Athens (https://www.innovathens.gr/) with a multitude of events and seminars in May and June
  • Startup Weekend University , an institution that promotes youth entrepreneurship and encourages the realization of innovative ideas on October 18, 19 and 20 ( https://athens.startupweekend.org/ )
