The game Watch Dogs is set to be released tomorrow, May 27, but pirated versions for consoles like the PS3 or Xbox 360 have already appeared online.

During the weekend, a fake PC game version appeared. This particular version appears to have been “cracked” by the well-known Skidrow group and showed up on some torrent websites.

However, the files it contained did not include the game. The files contained various malware that mined bitcoins and litecoins, according to Reddit.

More specifically, malware that uses the infected computer's CPU to perform complex calculations in order to generate coins for those who released the malware.

If you downloaded the alleged game, scan your computer with an up-to-date and reliable anti-virus.
