After a short rest period from the exhibition at HELEXPO that lasted about a month until the beginning of January, we are pleased to announce the seventh exhibition of retro computers and consoles that the RetroComputers.gr and will take place on April 12 and 13, 2014 at the Peristeri City Hall!
Let us recall that the same core of our group had held its first exhibition in Peristeri in 2010 (at that time we were in another forum) and so we are particularly happy that the same core with many of the people we were then but also with several new members who have joined our group, are continuing again by holding an exhibition in the area (Peristeri) where we first met and held our first exhibition.
Of course, we now also have the support of the municipality of Peristeri, which we warmly thank for embracing our effort and giving us space in the most central part of Peristeri, at the city hall in the event hall (in fact, there is a metro stop right outside)!
The exhibition will include a large part of the history of computers and gaming consoles, with old computers and consoles from the 1970s to around 2000, some of them very rare, as well as various other extra items related to the subject of the exhibition.
The exhibition will also include several events, such as presentations on various topics such as the history of computers, etc. that will be held in a separate adjacent room specially designed for lectures, as well as a PC that will be available for assembly lessons so that those interested can see the parts that make up a computer and what each one does, as well as try assembling it themselves, and much more.
The list of machines that will be present at the exhibition will be updated in this post as well as the remaining details.
Any members who would like to participate in the exhibition as exhibitors are asked to send a PM to Darth_Cotsos with the machines and peripherals they can provide.
The exhibition will be open from 10am to 8pm and admission will be FREE.
The room where the exhibition will be held is located on the ground floor of the new Peristeri City Hall (on the central pedestrian street of Peristeri and on Ethnikis Antistaseos and Karatheodori streets) and is very easily visible.
Access by public transport: We will only mention the metro since with any combination of buses from any area you can go to any metro stop and come to the “Peristeri” stop – it is almost at the point where the exhibition will take place!
