Fingerprint reader and Greek digital assistant at MLS iQTalk

MLS Informatics SA announced that in March 2014 it will release MLS iQTalk Fingerprint on the Greek market, a new version of the iQTalk Android smartphone with a built-in fingerprint reader, a feature currently found in advanced smartphones such as the Apple iPhone 5S, the HTC One Max and, as recently confirmed, in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S, S5.

The MLS iQTalk Fingerprint will have a 4.8'' SUPER AMOLED HD touchscreen, One Glass Solution (OGS) and Dragontrail Glass for very high resistance to scratches and drops, a 13MP rear camera with flash and a 2MP front camera, a quad-core processor, 16GB of memory. The device weighs 160 grams, is 9.9 mm thick and has a 2200 mA battery, with low-power technology.

"The personal data on the mobile phone such as messages, calls, phone book, personal photos, emails, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, passwords, professional data and secrets, internet-banking codes are completely protected and accessible only by the owner of the MLS iQTalk Fingerprint," the company explains.

At the same time, the iQTalk Fingerprint is the first MLS phone that introduces you to "your personal assistant", MAIC. MAIC (or MAIC) can, simply by opening the MLS iQTalk Fingerprint, open any of the available applications the user desires with a voice command.

Among other things, the MAIC responds to the following commands by activating the relevant functions:

  • "camera" or "photo camera"
  • «lens»
  • “facebook“
  • Also, with the voice commands “data”, and “Bluetooth” activates the data connection via the mobile network, or the connection via Bluetooth, respectively.
  • It is also possible to "search" with the command in Greek, followed by the term or phrase of the search on Google.
  • Other voice commands in MAIC are: "open pharmacies", "gas stations" which perform the search for the nearest relevant points, with navigation from the MLS (the service is integrated into iQTalk Fingerprint).

Finally, the MLS iQTalk Fingerprint supports making calls, writing and sending SMS and E-mail, and posting to Facebook by voice, features that are also available in the previous model.
For the launch of the MLS iQTalk Fingerprint in March 2014, the President and CEO of MLS, Yannis Kamatakis, stated: “We at MLS believe that the mobile phone is a strictly personal device. The MLS iQTalk Fingerprint is the first Android phone that is inviolable, since it is activated with the fingerprint of its owner. Also, the MAIC changes the data in the use of the mobile phone, since it obeys and executes the commands of its owner, making his life easier (Making Life Simple)!”
