According to itnews.com.au, the German company presented its plans at a cybersecurity conference in Bonn.

Last month, Deutsche Telekom asked German communications companies to work together to help shield local internet traffic from foreign intelligence services.

Today the company said that, for a fixed monthly fee, small and medium-sized businesses will be able to access the internet through Deutsche Telekom, from where content will be transferred via a secure data line known as a "clean pipe."

“Hackers will not stand a chance,” said Reinhard Clemens, a member of the board of directors of Deutsche Telekom.

“Of course, cybercrime needs an international approach, but we cannot wait until politicians come up with something. We need to present solutions now.” Addressing the conference, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak said that hackers are far ahead and that efforts to neutralize them should be stepped up. “We have not seen anything yet,” said former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. “Crime is light years ahead of defense and is likely to remain that way.” Project “clean pipe” , is a collaboration between Deutsche Telekom and RSA and the US technology company EMC and is in a test phase. It is expected to be launched on the market early next year. “If you want to stop a burglar from breaking down your front door, you don’t need a good lawyer, you need a good lock,” said EU Telecoms Commissioner Neelie Kroes at the same conference
