The WaterBean is a portable, water purification filter. It can turn any water bottle into a self-contained purification system. Made from sustainable materials, with the WaterBean you simply shake the water and the coconut charcoal filter. It will not only add vital minerals to your tap water but will also remove impurities.
According to WaterBean, the device removes impurities like “chlorine odors, and bad tastes.” The filter will also add beneficial magnesium to your water. It can be placed in any water bottle, which in addition to being economical has an ecological benefit. 280 bottles each year will be diverted from landfills since you won’t need to use them.
Each filter lasts up to three months, contains natural coconut activated carbon granules, and the company states that it is completely safe if swallowed.
The instructions for use are very simple. After inserting the filter, shake the bottle for about five seconds. The more the water swirls in the bottle, the better it will taste, or at least that's the theory.
The WaterBean is available through Indiegogo, with the company seeking $35,000 in funding by August 18th to move to mass production.
