The Toshiba Satellite P laptop family has been joined by the first models with support for transferring content in ultra-high Ultra HD resolution from the computer via the HDMI port to 3840 x 2160 TVs, i.e. four times the resolution of Full HD . Toshiba recently announced the UHD TV L9 series .
"Users can now enjoy a new generation of games in UHD resolution, photos and UHD videos stored on the laptop, in all their glory," Toshiba says.
The P series will include models in two sizes; the lightweight 15.6” P50/P50t with or without touchscreen, and the P70 model with a 17.3” display. The Satellite P series will be available in Europe starting in the second quarter of 2013.
Toshiba's newest models support Miracast technology, which allows users to wirelessly stream media files from their laptop to a compatible TV.
