Frank Clegg, former president of Microsoft Canada, has warned that wireless Internet (WiFi) in schools may not be such a good idea because it could cause headaches and heart problems for students.
Even though Canada already has Wi-Fi in various public buildings, such as schools and hospitals, Clegg points out that the fact is quite dangerous for health.
“There are already children who can’t go to school because of frequent headaches, nausea and heart problems from wireless networks,” Clegg tells TechVibes.
Ironically, the free wireless Internet connections in public spaces are one of Microsoft’s strategies to promote its products. Not long ago it provided, through Forbes magazine, routers to give all readers on-the-go connectivity for faster access to its services.
