Charitybuzz, an organization that asks celebrities to give a unique experience to charity, has an interesting proposal. Apple CEO Tim Cook has offered to invite you to coffee at Apple headquarters.
It will cost the (rich) lucky person about $50,000. The proceeds will go to the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights, and bidding will close on May 14. The “coffee date” can be for up to two people and will last 30 minutes to an hour, and the lucky person will go through a “security check” before the meeting.
Charitybuzz says the invitation cannot be resold or auctioned. So far, there have been two bids, and the asking price is $5,250. In a previous similar event, a Johnny Depp fan paid $91,000 to appear alongside him in the film “Public Enemies” (in a non-speaking role), while a day with former President Bill Clinton raised a record $255,000.
See the current auction price here (this morning it has reached $165,000)
