How many calories do we burn with each click on the magic mouse or trackpad?

No, tell us. For all of us who sit in front of a computer most of the day, isn't clicking the mouse the most important thing we do (aside from seeing what our friends are posting on Facebook)? Isn't it by far our most "popular" activity in front of the screen?

Well, Gizmodo and Tech Crunch discovered a post on Yahoo Japan, which was in turn based on a book titled “Convert Everything into Calories.” The scientist-author calculated how many calories we burn with each click.

Given that an average index finger has a volume of 10.8 cubic centimeters and a weight of 11.7 grams (well… if you measure and weigh your own index finger and it’s heavier, change the numbers), the scientist calculated that for every gram of our body to move for one second, 16.7 micromoles of adenosine triphosphate are required. Adenosine triphosphate is the molecule that transfers energy to cells.

If one converts the amount of adenosine triphosphate into calories for the entire finger based on the ratio of 7.3 calories for each energy molecule of adenosine, theoretically, with each click (the scientist always says), we burn 1.42 calories.

Of course, the same scientist points out that in order to burn this number of calories, our index finger muscle must be fully mobilized, that is, we must not click “bored”. But calculate, if you do 350 clicks… you might burn an entire burger. With 240 clicks, a chocolate croissant!

And just to be sure... make it 500 in any case to be in.
