Apple: iOS 6.1 Exchange bug will be fixed, but try this workaround

ios 6 1 exchange bug ogrady

Apple has confirmed that a bug affecting Microsoft Exchange in iOS 6.1 will be fixed in a future update, but for now, the Cupertino company has provided a temporary solution that will prevent excessive communication with Exchange servers.

With all the testing Apple does before releasing a version of iOS, it's impressive how bugs like this manage to find their way out. At least they're working on fixing them quickly, and in this case, they made sure to not only acknowledge that there's a problem, but also provide a solution by the time the update is released.

The steps of the solution he gave are as follows:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  2. Select the Exchange account from the list.
  3. Turn off the calendar.
  4. Wait 10 seconds.
  5. Turn it on again.

The above procedure will temporarily solve the problem and we hope that Apple will soon release the update that will fix it permanently.
