Microsoft's Windows 8 on the Surface Pro has been found to take up too much disk space, leaving users with less storage space. It looks like the 64GB version of the Surface Pro tablet PC will have a big problem.
The 128GB Surface Pro model was recently found to only provide users with 83GB of free storage space after installing Windows 8, combined with the built-in apps and recovery partition taking up 45GB.
On the 64GB Surface Pro model, the problem takes on other dimensions as it is left with only 23GB of storage space on its disk, while the remaining 41GB is used by the system.
A 64GB Surface Pro will hit shelves with less than half the space the manufacturer claims.
Another "potato" from Microsoft, which will force users who purchase this product to purchase large-capacity USB drives to store Windows recovery files.
